Abner W. Burr, of Morgan Siding died at his home in Gresham, Monday September 23, after a short illness.

He was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Burr and the late William Burr. Mr. Burr was born Oct. 18, 1892 at Beaver Dam and came to Red Springs when he was three years old. He had lived on the same farm since arriving in Red Springs. He was graduated from the Flandreax Indian school, South Dakota, and had served in World War 1. Mr. Burr was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church at Morgan.

His mother and two sons survive, Milo at home and Clyde of Milwaukee. Also 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis of Gresham, and John at home, and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Jennie) Loeffler, West Allis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the Old Stockbridge Church, Morgan. The Rev. H. Phillips will officiate and internment will be in Red Springs Cemetery. Friends called at the Gaffney Funeral Home from 10:00a.m. Wednesday until 12:00 noon on Thursday and then at the church until the time of the services.
