Adolph Toupal, a former resident of the Town of Lena, and later of the city of Oconto Falls died of a heart attack at his home Saturday, November 8. Adolph was born on a farm near here and attended the Oconto Falls high school.

When the First World War broke out, he, as a mere boy, joined the cavalry in Texas. At the time he was attending the University of Wisconsin. The cavalry regiment was later converted into a machine gun battalion and became a part of the 32nd division. He served overseas throughout the entire war and upon his arrival home, returned to the University. Later on he was employed by the Commercial National Bank of Madison where he remained a number of years. He then was appointed private secretary to an oil executive with offices in Chicago. From there he left to open an office as a certified public accountant at Vencennes, Indiana.

While here he made his home with Atty. And Mrs. Adolph Lehner and was considered a member of their family. Adolph was married and is survived by his wife and two children. The telegram announcing his death was the first news the Lehners had of his illness. They are deeply grieved and heartfelt sympathy is extended to them and to Adolph’s wife and children.
