She was born August 6, 1947 in Oconto Falls to Irene (Heitke) Schindel and the late August Schindel.
Anna graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1965. She also graduated from UW-Oshkosh. She began her teaching career in the Green Bay School District. She was most recently employed at MacArthur School. In 1997, Anna earned her Master's degree from Lesley College of Boston, MA. On July 18, 1970, she married Lee Holloway. Anna was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Lee; her mother, Irene Schindel, Oconto Falls, four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Calvin Schindel, Montana; Keith (Dorene) Schindel, Oconto Falls; James (Cindy) Schindel, Gillett; John (Kristie) Schindel, Kewaunee; two sisters and a brother- in-law, Grace Schindel, Ashwaubenon; Diane (Harlan) Hansen, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father August, and an infant brother, Dennis.
Friends called at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay. Funeral service was conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave., Green Bay, with the Rev. Ray Kotwicki officiating. Entombment was in Fort Howard Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to benefit Unity Hospice and cancer research.
