Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh Henry, Sr., who died at St. Vincent’s hospital at Green Bay of uremic poisoning on Tuesday, were held Friday. Anthony’s catholic church. She had been ill two months. Rev. Francis Melchoirs officiated at the requiem mass, and burial took place in the Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Henry was born Ann Gertrude Shraw at Green Bay in 1861 and was married to Hugh Henry at St. Xavier’s cathedral in 1880. She is survived by her husband, four children, Hugh, Jr., at home; Wm. B. Henry of Beloit, Howard of Chicago and Mrs. H. Stone of Chicago. There are four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Miller, Mrs. J. Fisher, Mrs. Wm. Zimmer and Mrs. Chas. Miller all of Chicago and a brother Michael Shraw of Green Bay.

The Henrys were residents of this community for thirty-four years, conducting a general store at the site now occupied by the Gamble Store. About twelve years ago they retired to the farm home where they now live. Mrs. Henry was an untiring worker for her church and served for many years as an officer of the Christian Mother Society of St. Anthony’s Congregation.

Out of town relatives in attendance at the rites were Mrs. Nettie Shraw, sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zimmers, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fisher and Mrs. Chas. Miller of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huempher and daughter and Michael Shraw of Green Bay.

Mrs. Henry will be greatly missed not only by her devoted family, but also by a large circle of friends. Very devout by nature, she not only professed her Christianity but lived it well. The bereaved husband and children have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in the loss they have suffered.
