She was born in Mountain September 1, 1920 to the late Herman and Euphemia (McDonald) Schmidt. Alma married Homer Haynes September 2, 1938. The couple lived in Doty Township for many years where Alma worked various jobs in the area.
Homer preceded her in death in 1979. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Robert Pecor of Oconto; her aunt, Ann Tourtillott of Oconto; four grandchildren, Ryan Pecor, Kristin Pecor, Miguel delarosa, and Mario Feliz; numerous nieces and, nephews.
Alma was also preceded by her two sisters, Dorothy and Mildred, and two brothers, Raymond and Orville. Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring.
Funeral service was 1 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home with Pastor Ardy Johnson officiating. Burial in Mountain Cemetery.
