Mrs. Augusta Schacht, 74, died early Thanksgiving morning in her sleep. Born in Germany, she had been a resident of Marinette county for more then 50 years. For the past 30 years she lived on her farm on the Pierce avenue road a few miles from Peshtigo. She was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps and the auxiliary of the Carlson-Aiguire. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. John Price and Mrs. Adolph Gloff of Peshtigo, Mrs. Elsie Nelson and Mrs. Robert Hoffman of San Francisco and five sons August, Paul, Edwin, Alfred and Robert, all of Peshtigo. Other survivors are nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Manther of Milwaukee.

The remains were removed to the Harper funeral home and will be taken to Zion Evangelical Lutheran church Saturday morning at 11 o’clock to lie in state until 2 o’clock the hour of the funeral. The Rev. Kurt Geyer will officiate and internment will be made in Forest Home cemetery in Marinette.
