Alvin R. Jashinsky

Alvin R. Jashinsky, 68, of 9130 West Lake Drive, Pound died Friday, November 10, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay following a brief illness.

The son of Adolph and Mabel (Lentz) Jashinsky was born July 6, 1932 in the Town of Brazeau. He graduated from Central High School in Milwaukee and entered the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. Alvin was married to the former Patricia A. Eckenrode on July 2, 1954 in Wadena, MN. The couple lived in Milwaukee where he was employed by Allis Chalmers Co. until retirement. They moved to White Potato Lake, Pound in 1982. Al was a member of the Moose Lodge, Milwaukee; the Kalbes-Seewald American Legion Post of Coleman; the Jerome Rouse VFW Post of Beaver and also the Coleman Pound Lions Club.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; three children, Debbie (Mike) Feleniak of Milwaukee, Mike (Stacy) Burgau of West Bend, and Sheila Burgau (Al Boyd) of Waukesha; three grandchildren; one greatgrandson; and one brother, Gerald (Kay) Jashinsky of New Berlin. besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen.

Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 12. Coleman-Pound Lions Club. Service was held at 6 p.m. Sunday followed by a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continued at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Frisby officiated with burial in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound. The American Legion and VFW conducted military rites at the cemetery.
