Dies From Injuries
Alandon R. Classon Passed Away at Home of Sister Sunday
Alandon R. Classon, better known as "Loll" Classon,
died at the home of
his sister, Mrs. Adeline McCartney, in the South Ward
Sunday morning from
injuries which he received by a fall from the steps of his
home just outside
the city limits last Thursday evening, his body and arms
being paralyzed.
Deceased was born in Fort Covington, N.Y., July 3,
1840. He had been a
resident of Oconto for over twenty years. His wife
preceded him in death
thirty years ago. Mr. Classon was a veteran of the Civil
war, serving three
years.
He is survived by one brother James K. Classon, Waupaca
and three
sisters, Mrs. Adeline McCartney of Oconto, Mrs. L. P.
Nichols of Chicago and
Mrs. L. B. Stram of Hartford, S.D.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home of
his sister, Mrs.
McCartney, Rev. John D. Fish of Peshtigo officiating, with
interment in the
Evergreen cemetery. Deceased was a member of the G. A. R.
and a number
attended the funeral.
