The former Clara Roehl was born June 17, 1904, in Coleman. She married Edward Ahrens Nov. 9, 1929, in Grover. He died Oct. 11, 1979. She was a nurses aide at a Peshtigo nursing home.
She and her husband operated the Y-Go-By Bar for three years. They also farmed in the town of Abrams for 15 years. She was a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, and its Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie McFadden of Oconto; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and a great-granddaughter died previously. Friends called at Gallagher-Pin-kart Funeral Home, Oconto, Thursday and at the church Friday where final rites were held. The Rev. Karl Diemer officiated. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
