. Mrs. Anna Markiewicz was born Feb 15, 1880 at Arcadia,Wisc , to John Pawlak and Michalena Novak Pawlak. Anna married Joseph Markiewicz 59 yrs ago. They lived on a farm in Lena. Her husband Joseph died 21 yrs ago.

Surviving Anna are Five daughters; and eight sons; Mrs. Flelica Truckey, Green Bay, MrsCyrus [Clara] Deschane, Pasco, Wash; Mrs Henry [Anna] Sobeck; Mrs George [Esther] Bednarik of Lena. Mrs, Chester [Irene] Wojciehowski, Milwaukee; Simon and Ben, St Peterburg, Fla; Fred, Paul and Joseph all of Milwaukee; Alphonse of Lena and Emil of Milwaukee. There are 39 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two brothers; Stanley [Josephine] Pawlak, and Wencil [Mary] Pawlak of Lena.

The body at Steffen Funeral home, Lena, where friends and family may call beginning Saturday evening. The Rev Leo Przybylski will conduct rites in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spruce at 9:30 am Monday and burial will be in the Church cemetary.

Mrs Anna Pawlak Markiewicz was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and members will attend the rites in body and will recite the Rosary with the parish at 8 p.m. Sunday. The Catholic order of Foresters will recite the Rosary at 8 p. m..
