Alice May (Pockat) Lotto, "mom," 87 of Gillett, went home to be with Jesus
in that mansion perfectly prepared by Him for her after a 16 year battle
with Alzheimer's on Monday morning, May 28, 2012. What a reunion that must
have been with "Clem" (married May 22, 1943) and so many others she longed
to see. She and Clem lived in Green Valley until they entered Woodlands of
Gillett in 2004.
Alice enjoyed being a 4-H leader, member of the homemakers, and working at
Mirro Aluminum (Gillett) and the Pulaski Shoe Factory. She and Clem
(husband, lover, and friend) enjoyed many good times at their cabin near
Long Lake with family and friends; fishing, playing games, picking berries -
living a simple, enjoyable life. She loved to cook until "Daddy" took over
the kitchen after his retirement in 1977. Alice's smiles, hugs, and kisses
will be missed by many.
Alice is survived by her son, Ronald (Kay) Lotto of Cecil; and daughter,
Sharon (John "Jack") Dingeldein of Gillett; one sister, Christine (Charles)
Gilbertson of Gillett; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Allen Lotto; three sisters;
and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May
31st at Marnocha Funeral Home in Pulaski. A casual attire, joy-filled
service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John
Laatsch officiating. Burial will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery in Krakow.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Woodlands of Gillett for
their care and "friendship" the past eight years. The people at Woodlands
are very much like "family." Additionally, the family wishes to thank
Heartland Hospice (our special buddy Bill) for making the "Heavenward
journey" as easy as possible. Thanks to Marnocha Funeral Home for their
compassion in making arrangements.
