Althea Rosenberg, 84, Oconto, formerly of North Chase, died peacefully Sunday evening, Nov. 28, 2004, at Bay Shore Pines in Oconto, surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Charles and Alvina (Bankert) Noster was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Milwaukee. On May 3, 1947, she married Erwin Rosenberg. The couple lived in Chase since their marriage. They traveled throughout the United States. Althea made many friends in the time she worked as a bartender "across the street" from their home. After her husband’s death on March 17, 2000, Althea moved to Bay Shore Pines Assisted Living in Oconto due to failing health. There she looked forward to playing bingo. She had been an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan.

Survivors include her children, Priscilla (Jerry) Druckrey, Pulaski; Phillip Rosenberg, Milwaukee; Susie (Dean) Calewarts, Oconto; Bruce (Susan) Rosenberg, Oconto; Cindy Rosenberg, Milwaukee; Scott (Ann) Rosenberg, Little Suamico; 12 grandchildren and their families, Sharon Ann Rosenberg and her children, Tristan and Faith, Ashley and Austin Rosenberg, Hailey and Carly Rosenberg, Caprice Rosenberg, Todd Druckrey (fiancee, Bonnie) and their sons, Christopher and Brandon, Ted Druckrey,

Jackie (Oveal) Foreman and their sons, Monte and Kyle, Chanda (Jason) Betts and their daughter, Aliyah, Josh (fiancee, Heidi) Calewarts and their children Kaleb, Ethan, and Serenity, Sean Calewarts; one sister, Lois Luepke, Shawano; one sister-in-law, Arlene Matuszewski; three brothers-in-law, Les (June) Rosenberg, Calvin Rosenberg Daniel, Jr. (Merle) Rosenberg; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband Erwin, she is further preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Agnes Rosenberg; two brothers-in-law, Wallace Luepke, Leo Matuszewski; one sister-in-law, Frances Rosenberg.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Visitation continues after 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Morgan. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Paul Keykes officiating with burial in the Town of Morgan Cemetery.

The family express their thanks to Chris Prince (you are super) and the whole staff at Bay Shore Pines, Chris Dionne and staff at Okato Manor, Dr. Lamont, Dr. Andrews, Dr. Manthey, St. Vincent’s Hospital, and the staff at Unity Hospice.
