Alhart Nemecek, 92, formerly of Manitowoc Co., died Wednesday January 20, 1999 at Wyndemere Estate, Green Bay. He was born June 8, 1906 in Oconto County, to Joseph and Josephine (Poradek) Nemecek. For many years he farmed in the Town of Spruce. He worked for Manitowoc Shipbuilding for many years until retiring. He was a volunteer driver and delivered meals on wheels in Mishicot after retirement. He was a member of Happy Hoppers Dance Club.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Carol Nemecek of Kewaunee; two daughters, Audrey Bailey of Florida and Arleen Heisel of Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two step-great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and two step-great-great-grandehildren; special friends, Gladys Seibel and Joyce and Otto Altergott and Marie Lischka.

Preceded in death by one son, Gary and three sisters, Rose Houska, Alvina Kafka and Anna Loeh. Friends called after 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Gibson. Funeral service was conducted Saturday, January 23, 1999 at the church. Rev. Maurice Hoppe officiated. Entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.
