MARINETTE LADY DIES OF PARALYSIS  

Death came to Mrs. Amelia Cota, wife of Joseph Cota, 1622 Garfield Avenue, Marinette, Thursday, December 2, following a paralytic stroke, which she suffered that day. Mrs. Cota had been an invalid since her first stroke last February.

The deceased was born in Manitowoc sixty four years ago and had resided in Marinette county thirty five years. She is survived by her husband, and five children, Mrs. F. A. Johnson, and Frank Cota of Oconto Falls; Mrs. D. F. Tyrrell of Milwaukee, and Hilbert and Walter of Marinette; three sisters, Mrs. L. E. Whiting of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Adeline Tiegs, Milwaukee; Mrs. Tressie Surprise, Town of Oconto; and three brothers, John and Eugene Marek, Town of Oconto, and August Marek, Racine.

Mrs. Cota was well known in Oconto. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the family home. Rev. L. C. Smith of Pioneer Presbyterian church, Marinette, officiated. There were many beautiful flowers in care of Mrs. George Cota, Mrs. William Johnson, Mrs. A. Grunke, Misses Mary Cota, Arlene Cota, and Sylvia Rabe, Mrs. Elda Cota and Mrs. Myrtle Johnson. During the service Mrs. William Schulz and Mrs. Severence Sang "Christian's Goodnight" and "Will Jesus Care?" The casket bearers were J. P. Johnson, D.J. McIlree, Antone Gustin, Howard Sprise, Louis E. Whiting and Peter Sprise. Interment was made in Forest Home cemetery, Marinette, the casket being encased in a stone vault.

Cota, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rabe and children, Mrs. Ella Cota and Children, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sprise and Mrs. E. Johnson, all of Oconto; Mr. and Mrs. George Cota, Gillett; Mrs. L. Cota and Florence Cota, Menominee  .
