Alphonse Markiewicz, 66, dies after a short illiness Nov 22,1971. He was born in Spruce Aug 2, 1905 to Joseph Markiewicz and Anna Pawlak Markiewicz. He was a World War II Veteran; a retired car inspector for the Green Bay and Western Railroad, retired Aug 2,1969. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Camen and the VFW.

Survivors are four brothers; Fred, of Tomahawak; Paul and Emil of Milwaukee; Theophile, of Lena ; four sisters Mrs Cy [Clara] Deachane, Spokane,Wash. Mrs Harry [Anna] Sobeck ; and Mrs George [Esther] Bednarek both of Lena; Mrs Chester [Irene] Wojciehowski of Green Bay. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
