Albert L. McMullen, 59, Little Suamico, formerly of Tipler, WI, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 12, 2001 at his home.

He was born September 16, 1941 in Green Bay, the son of the late Donald and Garnett (Egan) McMullen. He had lived in the Tipler, WI area and had served in the U.S. Army for six years. He was employed for many years as a truck driver and was most recently employed by the Celadon Trucking Company. He enjoyed boating, camping, snowmobiling, 4x4ing, and all other outdoor activities. He also enjoyed hunting but mostly for the camaraderie of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Donald McMullen and Garnett (Egan) Blankenhorn, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy McMullen and a brother, Terry McMullen.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; three daughters Sharon Leffler, Spread Eagle, WI; Tammy McMullen and her fiance, Stephen Hodges, Howard, WI; Michele Dehart and her special friend, Gregg Bruso, Rhinelan-der, WI; two stepchildren Cristal and Jim Chesnut, London, KY; Lance and Sandra Cornett, Ft. Benning, GA; 12 grandchildren; three brothers James (Sandy) McMullen, Lavalle, WI; Arthur (Janet) LaBine, Howard; David (Rhonda) LaBine, De Pere; one sister, Isabel (Donn) Stuhlmacher, Newald, WI; many nieces and nephews.

There was no visitation. Memorial services were held Monday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at the Langenberg Funeral Home, Iron River Chapel, Iron River, MI. The Rev. Howard Martis, Pastor of the Maple Grove Church in Tipler, officiated. Burial in the Long Lake Cemetery in Long Lake, WI.

The McMullen family wishes to express their gratitude to the Oconto County Sheriff's Department, the Brown County Rescue Squad, and all those people who assisted in Little Suamico and at St. Mary's Hospital.

The family was assisted by the Langenberg Funeral Home, Iron River Chapel.
