Arlene Y. (Mrs. Donald C.) Valenti, 72, of W7709 County B East, Coleman died Monday August 27, 2001 at her home.

The daughter of the late Ralph and Gladys (Freele) Kromroy was born November 21, 1928 at Eau Claire, WI. Arlene was a graduate of Amberg High School and received a degree in education at the UW Stevens Point. She furthered her education at UW Oshkosh and UW Milwaukee. Arlene taught school in Pembine for four years and then at Coleman for 39 years. She was married to Donald C. Valenti on June 6, 1953 at Amberg. She was a member of the Coleman-Pound Women's Club, Coleman-Pound Lioness Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Coleman; the National Education Assoc., the WI Education Assoc., and a member of Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman where she was in the Renew Program, Choir member, and the social concerns committee.

Surviving are her husband, Donald C. Valenti; one son, Donn R. Valenti of Baileys Harbor, WI; one sister, Alta (John) Olson of Plymouth, MI; and nieces and nephews.

Friends called at Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. John Hephner officiating. The Coleman-Pound Lioness Club held a prayer at 12 noon. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman assisted the family with arrangements.

A memorial fund for Unity Hospice has been established in her memory.
