Andy Kranick, 65, Oconto Falls, loving husband, best friend and "little
buddy" of Barb Kranick, died Wednesday evening, December 18, 2013 at Bellin
Hospital. He finally entered a painless new life with his wife Barb, loving
niece and nephew, Jeanna and Keith Koch and friend Missy by his side. Andy
put up a very courageous fight with cancer since 2002 and was still able to
lead a productive life until its return in July of 2013, when his fight
started all over again.
Andy was born December 4, 1948 in Deland, FL to Miriam "Maude" and Andrew
Kranick Jr. and was raised in Savannah, GA. When Andy was about 10 years old
his father suddenly died, so his mother moved him and his two younger
brothers to Sheboygan, WI to be closer to family. Andy graduated from
Sheboygan High School with the class of 1966 and he eventually became an
over the road semi truck driver. While driving truck he met his future wife
Barb and they were married on December 31, 1983. Andy was employed by CTS
(Contract Transport Services) in Green Bay for 29 years until retiring in
July 2013 due to health reasons.
Andy will be fondly remembered for the enjoyment he received from all of his
"furry children" throughout the years. He especially enjoyed lighting up the
barby and having a cold one, woodworking, a good laugh and dancing with the
love of his life, Barb. "Dance with me Kranick" was their affectionate way
of asking each other to dance.
Survivors include his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Barb Kranick,
Oconto Falls; his "fury child", Suzy, loving niece and nephew, Jeanne and
Keith Koch; two brothers, Allen (Joy) Kranick, Plymouth; Dave Kranick,
Sheboygan; aunts and uncles, Charles "Chuck" and Charlene Teege; Marcella
"Lucky" Perl; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Jimmy in 1986 and
J.R. in 1992.
Visitation will be held from 12-4pm Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Jones
Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. A short prayer service will he held at 4pm
Saturday. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
The Kranick family would like to thank Dr. Amy James and the entire staffs
of Unity Hospice and the Bellin Cancer Team for the care and concern shown
Andy during his illness.
