Mrs. Carl (Adeline M.) Rank, 69, Gillett, passed away peacefully, in her
sleep, Thursday morning, March 15, 2001, at Shawano Medical Center,
following a brief illness.
She was born December 28, 1931, in Klondike, to August and Mary
(Schjoth) Jurgens. On April 10, 1950, Adeline married Carl F. Rank, in
Gillett. Mr. and Mrs. Rank owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town
of Gillett, until 1989. They then leased out and managed their farm,
known as the Hi-Way Auction Farm. Adeline was the secretary at St. John
Catholic Church, Gillett, where she was a member. She was a member of
the church Altar Socity, and a member of the Oconto County Homemakers.
She loved to bake, and do a variety of needlework. She enjoyed spending
time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Adeline is survived by her husband, Carl F., Gillett; her children and
spouses: Gary L. J. and Cathi, Columbus, OH; David W. and his fiancé,
Brynne Lanning, of Menasha; Donna R. and Bill Bright, Greenville;
Douglas G., Oconto; Mary A. and Bruce Bohm, Oshkosh; Ann M. and Robert
Schroeder, Gillett; her grandchildren: Eric (Shana) Rank, Ryan Rank;
Austin and Mykayla Bohm; Jennifer Bright; Tyler, Rebecca, and Lindsey
Schroeder; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose Alice and George
MeKinnon, Oregon; Angeline and Carroll Vandenbush, Green Bay; Janet and
Norris Bohn, Peshtigo; nieces, nephews, her relatives and friends.
Adeline is further survived by Princess, the family dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather, Ewald 'Pat'
Bohn.
Friends called on Friday at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, where a
parish wake service, was held. Funeral Mass of Christian burial was
conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at St. John Catholic Church,
Gillett, with the Rev. John M. Gallagher officiating. Interment in the
church cemetery.
