Allan J. Johnston, 86, Oconto, died March 7, 2000 at a Green Bay hospital.
Allan was born April 3,1913 in the Town of Pensaukee to the late William and Louise (LeFevre) Johnston. He married Ruth Erdman in 1937;she preceded him in death on July 27, 1990. Allan worked for U.S. Fish and Wildlife service, Lamprey Control Division for a number of years. He was also a self employed logger until retiring in 1985. He was an Emergency Fire Warden for 45 years. Allan was a life long sportsman and fisherman.
Survivors includes son, Lee (Donna) Johnston, Oconto Falls; a daughter Lavon (Bruce) Frazier, Pullman, WA; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother Elmer, an infant sister and an infant grandson.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11,2000. Funeral services were conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frederik Schulz officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery.
