She was born April 6, 1905, in Gillett, to the late Gustav and Anna Zarling Heckendorf. She attended Gillett Schools and lived in Gillett all of her life. On June 10, 1935, Anna married Adolph Lemke, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, where she was a member. Mr. Lemke preceded her in death November 5, 1972. She was a member of the WELCA at church.
Survivors include a nephew, who made his home with Anna for many years; Otto Kathy Heckendorf, and their family: Laurie Heckendorf, Lynn Gary Aplin, and their sons: Ben and Travis, all of Green Bay; a special niece, Mona Vince Accardo, Madison. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anna was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Friends called after 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 2, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Gillett. Kuehl Funeral home, Gillett, assisting Anna's family with arrangements.
