August Grunst

August Grunst, long time resident of this community passed away at his home in the city early Sunday morning after an illness due to advanced years years which had lasted two years. Mr. Grunst was born in Germany on April 17, 1869 and he came to country when he was twenty-two years of age. He settled on a farm in the Town of Morgan and lived there until his retirement when he sold the farm to his son Raymond about eight years ago. They then moved to the Oconto Falls home.

Mr. Grunst was married to the former Mary Sylvester in Morgan April 12th, 1902, who survives him. He, is further survived by two sons, Raymond of Morgan, and Arnold of Clintonville; four daughters, Else, Mrs. F. J. Bridgeman of Los Angeles, Miss Laura Grunst of Milwaukee, Alvina, Mrs. Adolph Pemberton, and Amanda. Mrs. Earl Calba, both of Green Bay. There are seven grandchildren.

The remains lay in state at the O'Neill Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock when services were conducted by the Rev. Hugo Schmidt.of Grace Lutheran Church. Burial took place in 'he Morgan cemetery. Pall bearers were Messrs. John H. Birr, Paul Pierret, Wm. Schlorf, E. 0. Sankey, Williaim Murphy and Jos. Hobart.

Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family by a wide circle of friends.
