Adolph G. Rhode, 83, Gillett, died Wednesday evening, August 29, 2001, following a long illness.

He was born September 12, 1917, in the Town of Underhill, to the late August F. and Olga (Riegert) Rhode. On June 30, 1940, Adolph married Vivian Jessey in Crandon. She preceded him in death November 17, 2000. He farmed, in the Town of Gillett, from 1949, until his retirement. He was a member of the Mulligan Crew.

Adolph is survived by one daughter, Laurel Kay Langlay, Oconto Falls; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Dee, Suamico; Darrell and Faye, Stevens Point; Bruce and Sharon, Clintonville; one sister, Lillian Glasl, Gillett; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert, George and Helen, all of Gillett; Lydia Rhode, Ontanagon, grandchildren Kathy (Kevin) Renel, Gillett; Bradley (friend, Pam) Langlay, Brent (Denise) Langlay, all of Oconto Falls; Nicole Andrews, Suring; Brenda Rhode, Suamico; Holly (friend, Paul) Rhode, Chicago; Kristine Rhode, Green Bay; 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Adolph was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward; and one sister, Gertrude Reichwald.

Friends called from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Saturday, September 1, at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
