Oconto Falls  

Funeral rites for Alex Francois, 77, were conducted at St. Anthony’s catholic church on Wednesday morning, the Rev. Joseph Labno offering the requiem mass and interment took place in the catholic cemetery. Messrs. William Murphy, Charles Coopman, Willard Blaser, Anton Metzler, Con Gauthier and Frank Ehlinger carried the casket to its resting place.

Mr. Francois died about five o’clock Monday morning after a three-day illness. He had not been in the best of health, but his condition did not seem serious until Friday.

He was born in France on January 9, 1875, and came to this country in 1893. He came directly to Oconto County and this community and has been his home ever since. He was married to the former Maria Roderique, also a native of France, who survives him.

Other survivors are his son, August, Oconto Falls, and five daughters, Emma Mrs. Dave Trudell of Oconto Falls; Camille, Mrs. Steve Trudell of Mountain; Blanche, Mrs. Joseph Holz of (the continued part of this obit is missing).
