Gillett Man Is Dead At 82

Arnold F. Herchen, 82, of 216 S. Birch St.. Gillett, died Sunday. He suffered an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow at his home.

Mr. Herchert had moved to Gillett in 1970 from Milwaukee. A native of Gutenberg, Ia. he was born Jan. 26, 1894. He had been employed by the Schlilz Brewing Co. in Milwaukee until his retirement. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran, Church in the Town of Green Valley. He married the former Edna Naurnan on June 20, 1970, at Gillett. She died on Jan. 26, 1973.

Surviving are a stepson, Max Weiss of Milwaukee; a sister in Iowa. Friends called at the Kuehl funeral home at Gillett on Tuesday. A memorial service was conducted there Tuesday by the Rev. Franklyn Schroeder. Final riles were held Wednesday afternoon at the Tuecke-Allenstein funeral home at Gutenberg. Burial took place in that community.
