Arnold C. "Barney" WESNER of St. Francis, WI died July 5, 1999 at home.
Arnold was born July 9, 1918 at Oconto Falls, the son of Andres and Rose WESNER. Arnold married Helen Jane SLOUP on September 21, 1946 at First Presbyterian Church at Oconto. Barney was a retiree of Ladish Company. He was an active member in St. Francis Lions Club, a member of VFW Post 9351 and Hales Corner Legion Post 299. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Helen; two sons, Jay (Susan) WESNER of Franklin; Ronald (Dolores) WESNER of Waukesha; four grandchildren; three-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda ZAHN of Gillett; LaVerne EICHSTEADT of St. Francis; three sisters-in-law, Goldie WESNER of St. Francis, Florence (Marvin) ZIMMERMAN and Luella SLOUP of Oconto.
Visitation was held at the funeral home; VFW ritual held. Funeral service was conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 3775 E. Cudahy Ave., Cudahy. Entombment was at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Prasser-Kleczka Bay View Chapel assisted the family.
