He was born to James and Mildred (Kershek) Prausa Aug. 12, 1926 in the Town of Spruce. Arlyn served in the U.S. Army and was a member of The American Legion Post 302 of Oconto Falls. He worked as a truck driver for Glendenning Trucking Company until retirement in 1981. Arlyn was a member of the Kelly Lake Sportsmen Club and the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid Packer fan.
Surviving are special friend, Honey Smaney, Spruce; parents, James and Mildred Prausa, Spruce; two brothers, Alvis Prausa, Spruce; Glenn (Patti) Prausa, Green Bay; three sisters, Corrine Cherney, Green Bay; Betty Prausa, Pulaski; Cleone Kosner, Spruce; Honey Smaney's two children, Doug (Janet) Smaney, Lena; Dean (Joey) Smaney, Green Bay; and their six children whom Arlyn considered his own grandchildren.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Monday, July 5, 1999 from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Harold Beerntsen officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Town of Spruce.
