Mrs Moody Passes Away Succumbs to Illness of More Than Year Resident County 40 Years Died At Home Near Abrams Noon Today, Daughter of W. J. Classon, This City
Mrs. John D. Moody died at her home near Abrams at noon today, after having been a patient sufferer for more than a year, during which she underwent an operation and spent many weeks at the hospital, but without avail.
While her death was not unexpected yet is casts a veil of sorrow over the hearts of her many friends throughout the county.
Abigail Classon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. (William J.) Classon of this city, bas born in Cato, Manitowoc county, July 29, 1858, and with her parents came to this county ten years later when they settled on a farm in the town of Oconto, where she was married in November, 1878 to Mr. Moody and they have since resided on the farm near Abrams or in the village where Mr. Moody conducted a General Store for a number of years.
Her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Lester Whitcomb and Miss Beatrice, and four sons, William, Gilbert, George, and Joseph survive to mourn her loss. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Classon and brothers George, Wm. J. Jr., and Allan of this city, Edmund, of the town of Oconto, and David G. of Duluth, also survive her.
As we go to press the arrangements have not been made for the funeral. 3h>
