Andrew C. Huberty, 28, of 313 Main St., Lena died unexpectedly Friday February 5, 1999 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls from injuries received in a snowmobile accident in Oconto County.
He was born June 6, 1970 to Arthur and Catherine (Hall) Huberty in Green Bay. He was a 1989 graduate of Lena High School and attended UW Oshkosh. Andy was co-owner of a home construction business known as Lena Area Builders. He was a member of Oconto County Ducks Unlimited; Lena Fire Department; Wings Over Wisconsin and Lena Sportsman Club. Andy was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed boating and snowmobiling.
Surviving are his parents, Art and Cathy Huberty of Lena., a son, Drew A. Huberty of Oconto Falls; two brothers and their families; Ed (Margaret) Huberty, Lena and children; Paul (Patty) Huberty of Coleman and son; three sisters, Mary Kay Orr of Green Bay, Margie (Ronney) Daul of Oconto and Monica Huberty of Lena; his grandmother, Rosalie Huberty of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward D. Hall.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena where a parish wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday February 9, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Lena with Rev. Harry Beernsten officiating. Interment will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Town of Lena.
Andy's eyes have been donated to the organ fund.
