ALBERT CLIFFORD BROWN SR.

Albert Clifford Brown Sr., 76, of North Ft. Myers, Fla., and Gordon, Wis., passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at his summer home surrounded by his family.

Albert was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Superior to the late Stanley J. and Florence E. (Berg) Brown. Albert married Joyce L. Pinkoski on Aug. 21, 1954, at Holy Assumption in Superior. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage together.

Albert started out his career working for Valley Brook Farms, Twin Port's Dairy, Franklin Creamery, and he retired from Kemp's in 1991 after 38 years of faithful service.

Albert was an avid outdoorsman and a talented sportsman, enjoying baseball and football in his youth, and most recently enjoying golf and shuffleboard. Al was very active at Pioneer Village in North Ft. Meyers; Albert and Joyce would do a pancake breakfast open to everyone at the village. Albert loved to tease everyone and anyone he could, especially his family and grandchildren.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life is his beloved wife, Joyce, of Gordon, Wis.; four children, Brenda (Dale) Summerfield of Superior, Belinda (Roger) Olson of Superior, Bonny (Glen) Schulties of Texas, Albert Jr. (Wanda) Brown of Chaplin, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grand­children; one sister, Beverly (James) Richmond of Danbury, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Carol (Sean) McPartland of Hickory Hills, Ill.; one brother-in-law, John Pinkoski of Superior; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Kayla, who went everywhere Albert went.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rita Summerfield, in April 1992; one grandson, Dale Summerfield, in March 2003; and one brother, Stanley Joseph Brown Jr., in January 2009.

MEMORIAL MASS: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Solon Springs, Wis. Father James Kinney will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at church on Thursday. Private family burial will be at a later date. Albert will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
