Adeline Blanche (Mrs. Myron), Salewski, 84, of 323 Droeger St., Seymour and a former Coleman resident died Thursday, October 19, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
The daughter of the late Alex and Virginia (Trottier) Brault was born June 30, 1916 in the Town of Pound. Both her parents died by the time she was 11 years old and she lived in St. Joseph Orphanage in Green Bay and then stayed with her sister, Marie. She went to work for a family in Coleman at age 19. On February 25, 1936 Blanche was married to Myron G. Salewski at Marinette. The couple lived in Coleman until moving to Seymour. She was blessed with some great friends who all had some wonderful times playing cards. A special friend throughout her life was Aunt Isabelle.
Surviving are her loving husband, Myron; nine loving children: David (Earline) Salewski, of Perkinston, MS; Jack (Beverly) Salewski, of New Franken; Jacqueline (Merlin) Behling, of Green Bay; Allan (Donna) Salewski, of Pound; Jerry (Arbutus) Salewski, of Coleman; Salley (Allen) Olson, of Green Bay; Howard (Gaynell) Salewski, of Green Bay; Jean (Michael) Merriman, of Worksop, England; and Patrick Salewski, of Green Bay; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and one sister.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, October 22, and then after 9:30 a.m. Monday. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. David Hatch of Green Bay officiating. Interment was in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.
