Rites Thursday At Green Bay
For A.B. Hansen
Oconto Falls friends were deeply grieved to learn of the death of Agner B. Hansen at Bellin Hospital, Green
Bay, Sunday evening. He had been ill since Wednesday.
Hansen, 52, general manager of the Southern Kraft division of the International Paper company plant and was
also in charge of the Oconto Falls plant for several years.
Mr. Hansen taught in Marinette high school's science department before taking he post of chemist at the paper
company plant June 16, 1922. He rose gradually at the plant until he became manager in August 1933. He left
Marinette in October, 1935, and for the past 12 years had been associated with the Northern Paper Mills in
Green Bay. At the time of his death he was president, general manager and a director of the Green Bay
institution.
Mr. Hansen was born at Racine. His wife, the former Helen Delbridge of Oconto Falls, died in September last
year. Surviving him are a son, James, of New York City, and a daughter, Barbara, who was at a girl's camp
near Rhinelander at the time of her father's death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran church in Green Bay and the body will be
brought to Marinette for internment in the family plot at Forest Home cemetery.
Mr. Hansen has many friends in Oconto Falls and he has always had the interests of Oconto Falls at heart. He
will truly be missed.
