Agnes, beloved wife of George Cota, died at her home in this village at eight o'clock last night, aged 27 years. She had been sick only about a week, her ailment being a combination of pneumonia and bronchitis. The deceased was married to Mr. Cota only last January and the union has in every respect been a happy one, but the will of an overruling providence decreed that the earthly ties should be severed, and to that ruling from which there is no appeal the stricken husband and other relatives bow in humble submission though their hearts are racked with grief. Cut off in the flower of womanhood when life held so many promises of a future of happiness seems from a human pint of view, an irreparable loss tot he loving ones left behind. There is consolation in knowing that it was so decreed in the wisdom of Him who "doeth all things well". Mrs. Cota was born in Calumet county, Wis., where she grew to womanhood and was married to Harry Brubaker. For several years this union proved a happy one, until a railroad accident deprived her of her husband, about four years ago, after which the deceased moved to the town of Morgan and resided with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Barrett, Sr. During her residence here she has many friends by her genial disposition and ladylike demeanor, all of whom join in with the sorrowing relatives in lamenting her departure forever from their midst. Besides her husband she is survived by her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Barrett, two sisters and four brothers-Mrs. Wilson, of Illinois; Maria of Morgan; John, William and Charles of Morgan and Martin of Oconto Falls. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon from St. Anthony's church, Rev. Fr. J. J. Looze conducting the service, and interment will be in the Catholic cemetery east of the village--Oconto Falls Herald, June 9. This is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barrett who has died within a short time. The Times extends sympathy to the bereft relatives.
