Alex Anderson, for many years a resident of the Bay Shore, died at his home Sunday, after a prolonged illness with cancer of the stomach.
At the time of his death his three daughters and wife were in the hospital with typhoid fever, and their condition was to serious to inform them of their father’s and husband’s death.
Deceased was born in Norway March 21, 1865, and had been a resident of the Bay Shore near the city for many years. He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Margaret, Eleanor and Hilda.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Norwegian Lutheran church, Rev. Lund officiating, with internment in Evergreen cemetery.
