OCONTO FALLS - Alfred Garnier, 69, 124 S. Flatley Ave., Oconto Falls, died Wednesday evening at his home after a six-month illness. Born Oct. 27, 1891, Mr. Garnier, a lifelong Oconto Falls resident, married the former Dorothy Cantrell at Menominee, Mich. He was employed as foreman at Falls Paper and Power Co., and in later years was a municipal worker in Oconto Falls. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and Masonic Lodge No. 293. A veteran of World War 1, he served in major battles in France and was wounded twice in these campaigns.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Donna) Raasch, Indianapolis, Ind.' One son, William, Aberdeen, Md.; three grandchildren; two brothers; Gaston and Fred, both of Oconto Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Orrie (Louise) Saunders and Mrs. Ernie (Martha) Magnin, both of Oconto Falls, One brother, George, preceeded him in death.

Friends may call at Solek Funeral Home, Oconto Falls, from 7 tonight until 11 a. m. Saturday, then at the church.
