These
short articles are posted in the hopes of adding otherwise unknown aspects
to family histories. They contain numerous individual names and describe
the everyday life activities in Oconto County, Wisconsin's, past.

Oconto Falls—Edward Gauthier and Miss Arlene Cota
have won the highest honors of the class of “32” of the Oconto Falls high
school, according to superintendent W.W. Detert. Gauthier with an
average of 93.88 received the highest honor and is the class Valedictorian
and Miss Cota, second, with a 4-year class average of 92.5 becomes the
class salutatorian. Both students have combined forensic activities
with their regular scholastic work. They have won honors in debating,
declamatory, oratory, and extemporaneous speaking. Gauthier has been
granted a one-year scholarship to St. Mary’s college at Winona, Minn.,
which he plans to enter next fall, while Miss Cota has been granted a scholarship
at St. Theresa’s college at the same city, and she is also planning to
continue her work there. Both are local students, Gauthier being
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Gauthier and Miss Cota, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cota.
