Edward W. Pedley

The body of Edward W. Pedley was found Sunday, near the roadside, near Faribault, Minnesota.  Mr. Pedley had not been seen nor heard of since March 1st.  At that time he is supposed to have left Minneapolis in a motor car enroute to Faribault, Minn.  From that time until his dead body was found by a fisherman Sunday morning, nothing definite is known of the unfortunate circumstances which lead to his death.  He body was decomposed, and but for a letter in his coat pocket he might never have been identified.

The deceased was 34 years of age and was born and raised in Leadmine.  He was a world war veteran and belonged to the Milton B. Wiseman Post.  The body arrived in Benton Thursday noon and was taken to the home of George E. Alderson.  The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the M. E. church, leaving the house at 1 o’clock.  Burial will be made at the Leadmine M. E. cemetery.  Rev. G. C. Wadding will officiate at the church and the Milton B. Wiseman Post will have charge of the grave services.
