Like a golden sunset after a beautiful day, there came to a beautiful end the life of Albert Paquette at the home of his sister, Mrs. Chas. Mahoney of Freeport, June 1, 1924. At his side were his faithful wife, mother Hillary, his nurse, brothers and sisters. 

Albert Paquette was the youngest son of the late Louis and Elizabeth Paquette, born at Shullsburg, March 16, 1886. On May 21, 1918 he was united in marriage with Miss Winnie Hillary, who with one son survive. 

Besides a sorrowing wife and son, Hercule Eugene, he leaves six brothers and four sisters: J.D., George, Charles, Peter and Mrs. Sara Fleming, Shullsburg; Ed, Scales Mound; Mrs. John McKendry and Mrs. Pete Morgan, Seymour; Mrs. Chas. Mahoney, Freeport; and Dr. D.J. Paquette of Cuba City.

Freeport Journal June 2, 1924

Albert Paquette of Shullsburg, Wis., passed away yesterday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Charles Mahoney, 633 East Wynadotte Street, after a years illness. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Winifred Paquette, and a sister.

The remains were taken yesterday to Shullsburg, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Maloney. Interment will be made in the Shullsburg cemetery. Mr. Paquette was born in Shullsburg on March 16, 1886, and until his last illness had been engaged in carpenter work.
