Died, the 28th day of December, after a short illness Mrs. Knewstubb, wife of Robert Knewstubb and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shockley. The saddest and most unexpected death of this noble, Christian woman cast a deep pall of gloom over the community. The funeral took place on Sunday on the last day of the old year at the Centennial church. The remains were laid to rest in the Union Grove Cemetery at Darlington. God in his wisdom has called home a young wife, who but a year ago was a bride.
