Fiftieth Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Craig, residents of Rock County for forty-six years, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 26. In honor of the occasion a family dinner was served at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Harvey with covers being laid for 31 guests. The colors used to decorate were gold and white, with gold candles and a three-tiered wedding cake trimmed with gold leaves and a miniature bride and bridegroom.
Open House was held at the C. W. Craig home from two until four o’clock in the afternoon. Light refreshments were served to the 125 friends who called to extend congratulations. For the Open House, the table centerpiece was Talisman Roses in a low crystal bowl and gold candles in a crystal candelabra. The honored couple received many flowers, congratulatory cards and gifts. All five of their children were present. They are Mrs. Lawrence Jensen and Mrs. Ray Ullrich, of Duluth; Mrs. Forrest Harvey of this city; Francis L. Craig of Minneapolis; and Richard C. Craig of Valley Springs, SD. Their three grandchildren, George, Peter and Shirley Ann Jensen, and Richard Craig were also present.
