Walter
A. "Dick" DeGreef, 82, Green Bay died
Saturday afternoon at a local hospital.
Born in Green Bay on Dec. 20, 1914 to the late Alphonse
and Louisa (Detrie)
DeGreef. Dick
married ther former
Mildred Evrard at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay on May 1, 1937. The recently celebrated
their 60th wedding
anniversary. Dick
worked for Proctor and
Gamble for 43 years retiring in 1979.
He
was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, also a member
of United
Paperworkers International Union Local # 65.
Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Packer
Fan and card
player who liked to play with his retired friends at the Fiesta Club
and P
& G Union Meetings. Survivors
include his wife, Milly, one daughter and son‑in‑law, Donna and Gary
Bouchard,
Green Bay; one son and daughter‑in‑law, Dennis and Jackie DeGreef, Town
of
Scott; three grandchildren, Michael Bouchard, California; Wendy
Bouchard, Green
Bay; Dawn Marie DeGreef, Green Bay; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death
by by one
granddaughter, Kim Marie Bouchard; his parents, one sister, Agnes
DeGreef, one
brother, Norbert. Friends
may call at
Proko‑Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday
and
after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of funeral.
Wake service is at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home with the Msgr Roy Klister and Rev. Earl Schuh officiating. Entombment in the Shrine
of the Good Shepherd
Mausoleum. Dick's
family would like to
extend a sincere thank you to all the nurses and staff on St. Vincent's
seventh
floor and to Dr. Cross, Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Lacey from Prevea Clinic
and the
Unity Hospice and Social Services.
