Obituary of Teresa Pendergast

Mrs.
H.C. Sargent, 87, formerly of 1457 Eliza St.,
died at a local
nursing home Sunday morning following a short illness.
The former
Theresa Pendergast married Mr. Sargent in 1900.
The couple
lived in Oshkosh
until 1913 and then moved to Green Bay.
She
was the first president and charter member of the Nobel-Straubel
Post No. 2037 VFW Auxiliary, and charter member and
past president of the Spanish American War Auxiliary, and a member
and past president of the Roosevelt School PTA.
Her husband
preceded her in death in 1934.
She
is survived by five sons, John and Leland, Green Bay, Harvey, Superior,
Clarendon, Milwaukee,
Earl, Horse Head, N.Y., one
daughter, Mrs. George (Catherine) Gruselle, Green Bay, 18
grand
children; 20 great-grand children, one brother, James Pendergast,
La Fayette,
Ind.,
one daughter, Mary Jane Bucy preceded
her in death in 1959.
At
Malcore Funeral Home after 2 p.m. VFW Auxiliary memorial services
tonight at 7; Women's Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary 7:30
tonight, and at 8 p.m. by Msgr Peter Skell. Funeral services Tuesday,
9 a.m. Malcore Funeral Home, the Rev. Peter Skell officiating. Burial at Fort
Howard Cemetery.
