Robert
J. Matzke, 77, of
DePere, died Friday January 17, 2003, at St.
Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee
during heart
surgery. Bob
married Leona (Cady) on
November 27, 1947, who was his beloved wife of 56 years; he was a
wonderful
father to Dianna (Jack Kersten) of DePere, Robert E (Kathy) of
Hortonville,
Jeffrey and (Terry) of DePere, Kirk (Lynn Rose) of DePere, and Debbie
(Joel
Butz of DePere; proud grandfather to Monican and Andy Matzke, Tarra
(Matt)
Kerscher, Nikol and Danielle Matzke, Amber, Carmen, and Katrina
Tomlinson,
Brock Matzke, Stephanie, Dan, Tom and Suzanne Butz, proud great
grandfather to
Alli Peters, and Nate, Sammy, and Max Kerscher.
Bob is survived by three brothers (Harold (Pat) of Green Bay, Russell (JoAnn) of
DePere, and Jerry (Janice) of Green Bay; and
two
sisters Erna(Bob) Borsig of DePere and Mary Lou (Charles) Randel of
Green
Bay. Bob was
preceded in death by his
parents, Earl and Annie (Scray) Matzke, brothers Merle and Donald, and
three
sisters, Betty Corrigan, Shirley Jankowski and Eunice Gazella. Bob drove for the Green
Bay Chicago Lines for
22 years until his retirement in 1985.
He enjoyed retirement years with his wife and family. A place will be empty at
family gatherings,
special occasions and everyday living, but his wisdom and love fill our
hearts
always as he continues on through his children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and all who loved him.

DePere, Monday
January 20th, 2003, from 4 to 8 pm.
.....Burial will be at Lawerence Cemetery.
