Richard (Dick) DeGrave
Richard (Dick) DeGrave, 61, 3037 Humboldt Rd., died Saturday at home following a long illness. The son of the late Anton and Sophia DeGrave was born on April 30, 1922. He served with the Armed Forces in World War II and married the former Bonnie Messecar Jan. 21, 1966. He was manager of of Peters Welding Supply and had been employed by the firm for 36 years. Mr. DeGrave was a member of the Green Bay Yacht Club and had served as Commodore, treasurer and served on the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Pazaza Club and the Amvets George Zenz Post 11. Survivors include his wife Bonnie; two daughters ans one son-in-law Barbara and David Krajnik, Two Rivers; Debra Besaw, Green Bay; three grandchildren; one stepson and two step daughters, Darryl Stone, Des Moines, Ia; Mrs. Greg (Sandra) Turrick, Troy, Mich.; Mrs. Linda Buero, Madison Heights, Mich.; five step-grandch ildren; a half brother, Gordon DeGrave, Green Bay; a half sister, Mrs. Frank (Marion) Dimmer,Green Bay; nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by one sister, Rosalie Sawyer; two half brothers, Clarence DeGrave and Henry Panure, two half sisters, Lorraine Jenkins and Margaret Van Elson. Friends may call at the Malcore Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., from 2 to 9 p.m. today and prior to the funeral. Pazaza Club memorial service 7 this evening. Parish Wake service 8 this evening. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Phillip Church with the Rev. Ronald Becker officiating. Burial in Allouez Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
