Sunday, April 9, 1893 Sunday, April 9 1893, of heart failure, Mrs. Nancy Loper aged 77 years 5 months and 5 days. The funeral was held from her late residence Monday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev Sanborn. The relatives left Tuesday morning on the early train with the remains, which were interred in Rushford cemetery, Winnebago county, beside her husband. Mrs Nancy Loper was born in the state of New York, in the year 1815. She was married at an early age to Samuel E Loper, of Long Island N.Y., lived in that state till 1852, when she, with her husband and family, moved to Wisconsin, where they lived happily together until 1881, when her husband died. Since that time she has lived in West De Pere with her youngest son, James E Loper, who has been her main staff in her old age. Mrs Loper's aim through life has been to do good, and for a number of years she has been a member of the M.E. church, and a true and faithful christian. She has reared a large family of children, nine of whom are now living. They are: Mrs. A.B. McIntyre of Medford, Wis; Mrs. E. R. Potts of Emmetsburg, Iowa; George P Loper and Joseph D Loper of Oshkosh; Mrs. J.A. Annas, Mrs. B. Carpenter, Mrs. O. E. Wright, James E Loper and Charles V. Loper, of De Pere.
