Ervin (Hienz) DeGrave

Ervin (Hienz) DeGrave, 76, 1120 S. Northview Rd, died Wednesday, April 24, 1996 in a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born June 19, 1919 in the town of Humboldt to the late Felix adn Louise (Van Pay) DeGrave. Ervin married the former Lor r aine Lamal August 21, 1943 at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church. Ervin and Lorraine owned and operated a dairy farm for 40 years until his retirement in 1982. He and Lorraine celebrated 50 years of marriage August 21, 1993. Ervin was a member of the Holy M artrys of Gorcum Parish and its Holy Name Society. His favorite hobby was gardening and he loved to play cards, but his most memorable times were spent with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Lorraine, two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol adn Burch Thielke, Betty Gonson and her friend Karl, all of Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Carla DeGrave, Green Bay, and Bob and Deb DeGrave, Denmark; ten grandchildren, Kim Thielke and fiance Jeff, Brad Thielke and fiance Tammy, Bill and B ob Thielke, Laurie and Jim Gonson, Todd and Troy DeGrave, Shannon and Josh DeGrave, two great-grandchildren, Michael and Anthony Gonson, one brother and sister-in- law Marving and Elsie DeGrave, Green Bay, many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by one sister, Martha Balza, two brothers Norman and Harvey. Friends may call at Proko Wall Funeral Home 1630 E. Mason St. from 4 to 9 p.m. today and prior to the funeral Saturday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. S a turday at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church with the Rev. Robert Rhymer and the Rev. Earl Schuh con-celebrating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Garden. Ervins family wishes to send a sincere thank you to St. Vincent Hospitals 9th floor nurses and staff, Dr . Bachhuber and St. Vincents Pastoral Care for all the care and consideration given to Ervin and his family. Dad and Grandpa will be sadly missed by family and friends.
