Clarence E. Marchant, 89, Green Bay, died
Saturday
morning, June 17, 2006, at a local CBRF. Born in Green Bay, he
is the son of the late Honorie
and Victoria (DeBauche) Marchant. He served in the 95th Infantry
Division and
15th Hospital
Center
of the U.S. Army during World War
II. On September 12, 1946, he married Marie Vanness at SS. Peter
& Paul
Church. Clarence was employed at Procter & Gamble for 45 years,
retiring on
February 28, 1982. He was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul
Church and
member of the Disabled American Veterans. Clarence enjoyed hunting,
fishing,
and times spent with his family.
Survived by his beloved
wife, Marie; three sons: Donald Marchant of Green Bay, Ronald (Dianne)
Marchant
of Green Bay, Daniel (Lynn) Marchant of Georgia; five granddaughters:
Julie
(Bryan) DeVillers, Jeanie (George) Spellman, Sara Marchant, Jenna
Marchant,
Tracy Marchant and fiancé Tom Murphy; four
great-granddaughters: Katelyn and
Ashley De Villers, Victoria Spellman, Mya Marchant; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by three brothers: Gus, Gus, and Edmund (Adell)
Marchant; one
sister: Mary (Steven) DeBeck. Friends may call at MALCORE Funeral Home,
University
Avenue
at Baird
Street,
from 4-8 p.m. Monday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral
home.
Tuesday visitation will continue at the funeral home until the time of
the
funeral. Funeral Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church
with
Monsignor Roy Klister officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel
Mausoleum.
