Obituary Charles M. Golueke, 90, De
Pere, died
Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at a local nursing home with family
members by his
side. Born in Spokane,
Washington
on April 1, 1914 he is son of the
late Nicholas J. and Eugenia (Matzke) Golueke. Charles was a graduate
of St.
Norbert’s College, Class of 1934 with a degree in biology. On
April 10, 1939 he
married the former Juel Fillion. Most of his life Charles was a
photographer/photo engraver in Green Bay. He
loved music, nature, the great outdoors,
photography, history, woodworking and spending time with his family at
their
northern retreat. Charles was a charter member of the De Pere
Sportsmen’s Club
where he was a hunter safety instructor, was the founder of their
junior rifle
program, and has a nature area named in his honor. The couple traveled
extensively including trips around Lake
Superior
and the Canadian Rockies. Charles was past member of the Neville
Museum
geology club and volunteer of
the Heritage
Hill State Park.
He is member of St. Francis Xavier Church, De Pere and past member of
their
ushers and Holy Name Society. He was also a faithful blood donor to the
American Red Cross.
Survived
by his
beloved wife { Juel; cherished father of Mary (Roland) Hebeler of
Menasha;
Robert Golueke of Green Bay; Charles W. Golueke of Abrams; Mark (Ann)
Golueke
of De Pere; loving grandfather of: Sarah and Nick Hebeler; Eric, Scott,
and
Paul Golueke; dear brother of: Nick F. (Bert) Golueke of Allouez;
Josephine
Wheeler of Green Bay; special cousins: Jim (Carol) Golueke of De Pere;
many
nieces and nephews.
Also
proceeded
in death by his son, Gregory Golueke; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law.
Visitation
at
MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue
at Baird
Street, from 6 { 7:30 P.M.
Monday.
Tuesday visitation will continue at St. Francis Xavier Church, 220 So. Michigan St.,
De
Pere Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of the memorial service.
Memorial
service 11:30 A.M. at the church with Father Tony Dolski officiating.
Burial in
St. Mary’s Cemetery in Argonne, WI
next to his son - Gregory.
In
lieu of
other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at
the
funeral home in his memory.
