CECIL RAY CANNON
Cecil Ray Cannon, 86, Rt. 4, De Pere, died early this morning at
a local hospital. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Israel Cannon
was born May 14, 1891 at Big Falls, Wis. He married Sophie
Doxtator, Sept. 29, 1917, and she preceded him in death, March 3,
1961. He was employed by the C. A. Lawton Co., until retirement
in 1956. Mr. Cannon served with Company B, 18th Battalion, United
States Guard in World War I. He was a member of the Oneida World
War Veterans Club.
Survivors are three sons, Joseph R., Battle Creek, Mich.; Howard T., Oneida; and David D., Rt. 4, De Pere; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Stillman Cannon, Boonville, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Adeline Pomplun, Janesville.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, after 7 p.m. Monday. Wake service 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Apostles Church, Oneida, with the Rev. Charles Wallis officiating. Burial in church cemetery.
