MRS. RIOUX DIES AT HOWARD RESIDENCE
Lingering Illness Takes Pioneer Resident. \par Mrs. Angeline Rioux, pioneer resident of the town of Howard, died at 11:30 Saturday evening at her home after a lingering illness. The deceased was the former Angelin e Champeau, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Emanuel Champeau, pioneer settlers, and was born May 26, 1853. She was married to Louis Rioux, December 25, 1879, who preceded her in death in 1895.
For years Mr. & Mrs. Rioux operated the Duck Creek stone quarry. The latter was an active member of the Woman's Catholic order of Foresters and served as president of the Christian Mothers society for a number of years.
She is survived by two sons, Frank, town of Howard; Dempsy, Kaukauna; four daughters, Mrs. Ed C. Monette, an d Miss Clara Rioux, town of Howard; Sister Mary Raymond, La Grange, Illinois; Miss Alzada Rioux, Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Leocadie Champeau, Green Bay; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wedne sday at St. John the Baptist church, Duck Creek, with the burial in the church cemetery. The body has been taken from the Schauer and Schumacher funeral home to the residence where the rosary will be recited at 8 'clock this evening by members of St. Virg inia court, W.C.O.F., who will also attend the services in a body.
